“The website was very poor and left many questions unanswered. At no time did it mention that the run/hike was over rugged terrain and would take a fit person XX number of hours. I arrived at the bike finish point (hike start point) and was shown - by a memer of staff pointing where we were to go next. i was expecting a route that climbed to a summit on an established track/path instead i was presented with a 12k scrabled/hike where i never put a flat foot on the ground due to the rugged nature.There were no established tracks to get to the summit and the going underfoot was rough terrain. A pair of hiking boots would have been a better option - but we were not advised on this. No mention of casualty evacuation procedure as there would have been nowhere to land a helicopter - if one was availble!!!!! I could go on all day. “The information on the web site was too little, vague and too late to be published. Start promptly as per the advertised time. Bike route was fine. The run was a very diffucult hike, should have carried a health warning about the severity of the route! More markers on the mountain would have helped finding a sensible way up the slope. The terrain was extremely treacherous and the chance of twisted ankles and other injuries was higher, as the competitors were getting very tired towards the end, after 6 hours effort.”

“Since this is just an inaugural event, i would definitely join again next year for the Mountain Bike and Run on the same rugged terrain. We would be grateful if we can have a certificate or a medal for all finishers. Race T-Shirt/Giveaways as promised is included but we did not recieve any. Overall - a well organized events.”
