“Fun race with a good mix of abilities. A bit of a shambles at the finish but this was only the first one so a few imperfections are to be expected. T-shirt sizes a bit off - my "S" was more like M-L. Plenty of water en-route. Well done to all the organisers and volunteers. Some of the support staff on the route were very motivating and cheering.”
“I really enjoyed the race in terms of the course itself - a lot of people were definitely in PB territory. Unfortunately the course distance was short. My GPS watch measured 9.8km, as did a few others, which meant the time I ran won't count as a PB even though I was well on course for one. I'd also like to see Premier Timing / ChampionChip used; I know cost is a factor and this is more likely to happen when numbers increase... All other aspects were well organised and the tshirts were MUCH better than in previous races. In short: great venue, great race - just get the distance right!”
“It's a shame to run around a stadium although it could be along the beach or somewhere more pleasant and attractive. It's sad that late registrated people couldn't get a tee shirt although they pay the same price.”
“Good race overall, although my GPS tracked it to be less than 10K so what I thought was a PB is now no longer one. But I would definately participate again.”
“Improvements can be made with regards to safety. The foot ball stadium pitch had a few tripping hazards. Furthermore the route wasn't blocked for traffic and cars were using the roads that were part of the course.”
“Only issue I had was the kilometre marking seemed eratic - kept thinking I was behind my target, then suddenly I'd be ahead, just stopped looking at them in the end.”
“Registration was easy online and on the day. Race markers were encouraging but finish line was not clear at all and it took me a while to find it! My race time was not listed but this was rectified v fast, thanks. Course was good and I look forward to being faster next time. thanks”
“What a way to start my weekend! I intend to participate again next year and until then, I will wear my 2011 Fun Run t-shirt proudly. Nicely done.”
“Good: easy registration + friendly organizers, nice T-shirt, snack + drinks at the end of the race, good location Bad: no chip timing mat (a lot of runners had their own timing chips - therefore I was not the only one expecting one), NO MEDALS, no photographer, some of the race marshals handed over sealed glasses of water and it was quite challenging to open them while running and trying to maintain a certain pace. All in all, pretty basic, not sure I will attend again. ”
“Wow, The organisers said it would be a fast track and the weather gods were onside, great start, still conditions, plenty of water on hand. The run into the stadium was inspiring. One of the best dry fit running shirts ever. Great fruit post run and then a huge breakfast in the club house. bring on a series in 2011”
“The finish line needs a large digital clock so that muppets (like me) who dont wear a watch know what time they did the course in.”

“I enjoyed this run a lot. Running through the stadium was a great idea. Being able to run the grounds of SPC was neat as well. The scenery, including the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque was a nice treat along the way.”

“Really enjoyed this race. The course was amazing and interesting especially the part when we ran through the stadium (cant say I've done that before!) it added a real 'wow' factor to the run. Was the course slightly short though??? I did such a good time that I wasnt convinced it was a full 10K! Will def do it again next year.”
