“Participated in the hill climb - at the tail of the field with a few others and we took a wrong turn. A few trail markers at road forks would be good. This did not detract from the day though. It was great to have the opportunity to test myself, it was brilliantly run and very relaxed. The course is unbelievable and I think you shoul add a star rating for the value - sensational! Thanks to the Golden Tulip. Thanks to Probike. And thanks gain to the organisers and support staff for giving their time.”

“For such a well known (and well established) event on the calendar, i was dissapointed with the organisation of the event. No timing chips? Organisers who were not there to determine first place at the finish line? No way markings on the return route (&very few on the way out!) No marshalls on route? Times and positions posted incorrectly on the website... come to think of it, im not sure what went right with this event!”

“Goodie bag bit of a let down... while the T-Shirt was cute... Would have liked a few little surprises (boohoo) :-(! Course was great, although, NOT for the faint hearted. Felt a lot more could've been done for the finishers of Adventure Race... they finished to a rather dull welcome (no crowds, no excitement and no announcements)!! The directions on the route were very poorly marked (not only cause I'm a girl :-); also required distance markers for those who didn't have GPS. On a different note: upon registration, we had been referred by website to Hilton in RAK for accommodation as next best option for location, when the Golden Tulip was full (this was 84km away from the Golden Tulip; this we discovered upon arrival). This cost us a lot of money in accommodation, transport and a lot more time traveling to and from hotels for registration and participation. This was a big let-down; it would have made more sense to remain in Dubai and travel through in the morning. I understand that this was not the responsibility of PM; but a partner website - nevertheless, should have been checked! ”
“Really good day, well organized, nice people, very supportive. I did not care that we did not get a medal, I was happy to finish in one piece and still smile. I will for sure do this again and I hope get more friends to come and take part.”
