Dubai Creek Striders will hold their 7th Johnson Arabia Dubai Creek Striders Half Marathon on 5th December 2008. The race starts and ends at the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club, following a great cultural and scenic route along, over and under Dubai Creek and through the souq in Bur Dubai.

Never run a Half Marathon before? No problem!
Dubai Creek Striders Running Club focuses on long distance running and can help you train for your big challenge. The Club, formed in 1995, currently has around 100 members and many have successfully trained for their first half marathon with us. We meet each Friday morning for training runs in the car park opposite the Novotel Hotel. The Club runs all year and start times vary depending on the run distance (10km up to 36 ), but can be found on our web site www.dubaicreekstriders.com where you will also find training programmes to help you prepare for the half marathon.
The club is open to everyone over 16 years, irrespective of standard. Many members don't race but come along to meet new friends and keep fit. Some members use running as a way of raising funds for charity. (Note: half marathon participants must be at least 18 years of age.)

Registration fee for the race is Dhs 130 for early birds, which gets you a goodie bag, T-shirt, shower facilities and post-race breakfast as well as the chance to experience the most interesting half marathon in the region. All finishers also receive a medal and entry into a prize draw.

Register early to avoid disappointment as numbers are limited.
